Social Salsa in Frankston a Success!

Social Salsa Picture 22.5.13

Our first Social Salsa event at Southern Cross Salsa was held last night. Lots of great music, social dancing, and an impromptu beginner’s lesson made for an awesome night. Thanks to everyone who came – whether from far away, or just around the corner – you helped show that salsa dancing is alive and well on the Mornington Peninsula!

We will be hosting another social night soon, so keep a look out for the updates. Have you joined our Facebook page yet?

Look forward to seeing you next week for regular lessons and social dancing from 7.30pm.

Only a few days until our first Social Salsa Night.

Don’t forget to like us on Facebook for all the latest updates.

Looking forward to seeing you all on Wednesday night at 7.30pm.

Which direction?

At Salsa last night, we tested our “left and right” skills by working again on Enchufela pa’el centro with variations including La Rosa, Zero, Ochos.
We tried a few of the Setenta moves – Setenta, Setenta y uno, Setenta y uno por abajo, and also learnt a pretty cool ending to the regular Dile que no.
Can’t wait to see you all next week at our Social Salsa night
– don’t forget to spread the word 🙂

Fun on the dance floor!

A great night at SCS last night, with the opportunity for a few good ruedas revising all our moves from basic to more advanced.  We also tried a few new moves and revisited a few old favourites – including Gancho Doble, La Jenny, Enchufla el Centro, Enchufla como Turro and our new favourite “Enchufla blah blah complicado”
